Jessica’s Granola Review!

Jessica’s Natural Foods: Gluten Free Granola Review

Are you a granola fiend? Do you love trying new healthy foods? Are you healthy conscious and skeptical of many of the pesky ingredients that most food companies add to their products? Do you love good food?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then Jessica’s granola needs to be added to your grocery list. Seriously. This stuff is amazing! Jessica’s granola is my favorite brand of granola in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE! It is THAT GOOD! I could go on and on about how delicious this granola is. There is the perfectly amount of crispiness and chewiness. I have never found a granola with this same texture. I especially love Jessica’s granola because Jessica uses only their healthiest and natural ingredients to make these! If you are looking for a delicious gluten free granola, this is a must buy. Basically, Jessica is a granola genius.

I first discovered Jessica’s granola one day while shopping at Whole Foods. They had this granola on sample and I remember trying the Chocolate Hazlenut and the Chocolate Chip- they were both amazing! From that point on, I was hooked. This stuff is amazing for topping on yogurt, with fruit, with milk, or just plain snack’n out of the bag (my favorite way).

A little more on the product:

I love this message from Jessica on the back of each bag- it really gives it a personal touch! The key to the delicious crunch is being baked at a low temp! I also love that there are no preservatives, artificial flavors, or colors and that it is GMO free- woo!

Run down of the flavors:

I was so excited when this package arrived on my doorstep! I love getting packages in the mail, especially delicious healthy foods!

Flavors:

After they arrived, I had a hard time deciding which bag to tear into first! I ultimately went with my long time favorite- Chocolate Chip.

Chocolate Chip:

Mmmm- look at those huge chunks! The chocolate chips have the best flavor and texture- sweet, but not too overpowering. I don’t like things that are overly sweet, so this was perfect! This granola was loaded with rich chocolate chips, yet was still low in sugar! Each serving has only 7 grams! Most granola that I have tried have 10 grams or more, and those are healthy varieties! The average granola that you will pick up in the grocery store has about 15 grams of sugar or more for one serving. That is no better than sugary cereals lke lucky charms and frosted flakes!

Here’s another photo of the deliciousness! I ate some of the chocolate chip flavor while studying Biology. I think this gives a realistic view of the size of the chunks because you can compare it to words on a page. It makes a delicious dessert! I bet this flavor would taste amazing on nice cream aka banana ice cream (basically just a frozen banana blended up into the consistency of ice cream). Or, if you are feeling really adventurous, you could top this on real ice cream!

Flavor 2: Pecan Almond

Pecan Almond granola- This one is my favorite flavor! I absolute adore the pecan-almond combo! This flavor was deliciously nutty and chewy. There is a perfect balance between the pecans and almonds with neither flavor overpowering the other. This flavor would go perfectly with yogurt, oatmeal, or my personal favorite, topped on apple slices spread with almond butter.

My favorite way to eat the pecan almond granola was like this pictured above! This is a fuji apple, almond butter (Kirkland Costco brand- go buy it! – for real- it is a big container for only $10), and Jessica’s fabulous pecan almond granola. Don’t mind my running shoes in the background 😉

Another close up view of the delicious pecan almond granola! Check out those nutty chunks!

Next up: Almond Cherry Granola!

This flavor is not quite as nutty as the pecan-almond, but is equally as delicious. The dried cherries are perfectly sweet and tart. This flavor would pair great with cherry flavored yogurt, or on top of smoothies! I plan on making a smoothie bowl later this week and topping it with some of this deliciousness!

Vanilla Maple Flavor:

This flavor may sound basic, but it is amazing! It could pair with anything! I loved snacking on it straight out of the bag and topped on some cinnamon apple oats! I wish I had gotten a picture of my oats topped with this, but I have been slacking on my picture taking. Do not underestimate the power of this flavor- it will knock your socks off!

Next Up: Cherry & Berry Granola

I unfortunately do not have any photos of this flavor because I gave this bag to my mom when I was home last weekend. However, I have had this flavor before and it is nothing short of amazing! This flavor has chewy dried cherries, cranberries, and blueberries. I am a sucker for dried blueberries and Jessica makes them perfectly chewy!

Last but not least: Chocolate Hazelnut!

This flavor was previously known as Motor City Crunch.

This flavor is AH-MAZ-ING! If you are a nutella lover, and looking for a healthier option, this will be right up your alley!  This flavor has a nice blend of rich chocolate chips and hazelnut. The hazelnut flavor is not overwhelming at all. This flavor tastes like a delicious cocoa almond cookie. I love how you can really see the oats, chocolate chunks, and hazelnut bits in this photo. This flavor would be great on top of nice cream. I am definitely going to make some soon and top it with this granola! I can’t think of anything that this would not taste good on! I also want to try it topped on protein pancakes or waffles soon!

You may have also noticed that there are some syrups in that box too! Those are new products by Jessica. She has created a strawberry and a Vanilla syrup. I have not tried them yet, but will be posting a review of them soon! I plan on making some healthy protein pancakes and waffles and topping them with it!

So what are you waiting for? Get your shoes on and get to the store to pick some Jessica’s granola up! You can find it at Whole Foods or at www.jessicasnaturalfoods.com
