FIT SNACK REVIEW!

Have you ever heard of fit snack? They are an awesome new company that sends healthy snack boxes to your door each month! I am one lucky gal for being able to try out their great service! I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning when I get packages in the mail, so I was super stoked when this showed up at my doorstep. Not only are these boxes exciting to get, they pack a nutritional punch! Whether you are a yogi, runner, weight lifter, or biker- fit snack has something for you!

So what exactly is in a fit snack box?  Each box in the product contains two or more of the following: raw, vegan, natural, low in sugar, high in protein, gluten free, and GMO Free. There’s also awesome little bonus items like energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages. There is also workout ideas provided in the box!

As a self proclaimed health nut, I love trying new healthy products! It seems like there are more and more companies popping up that have been creating healthy new products. I like being the first to try them an rave to my family and friends about how great they are. For a low price each month, you can get your own box shipped right to your door! I love how simple it is! You really do get a bang for your buck with this box! If you love variety (it is the spice of life) then you will absolutely adore fitsnack!

If you love healthy products, and want to take the guess work out of healthy eating, this is a must buy! You don’t have to worry if what you bought at the grocery store is actually healthy or “natural” (let’s be honest, that natural Skippy or Jiff PB has nothing natural about it).

Here’s a run down of what came in my box:

Movit energy gummies: I was super excited about these since I am training for a marathon (erm- was training 🙁 ). I couldn’t wait to try them out on a long run. Verdict- they are tasty and really soft. I liked they because they were easy to chew on my run. I could just pop one-two in every mile without having to stop running/consume too much at one time. Side note: I got my fueling down and figured out what works best for me: 1-2 gummies/sport beans every mile after 10 miles. Or- 1 gel chew every 3 miles after 10 miles. I have also tried vega gel which I take in slowly from miles 10-13 and follow it with Nuun hydration.

Next up: Beef Jerky- I gave this to my dad to try. Personally, I hate beef and don’t really ever eat anything from a cow (no milk, ground beef, steak-except rare occasions). So- I gave this to my dad but never heard the verdict, but I’m sure it was tasty!

Detour Smart Bar: This was my favorite item in the box. These bars are gluten free, low in sugar, high in protein, and low in calories. It tasted just like a blueberry muffin. I love trying new gluten free bars. I had heard about these, but never found them in stores- just another reason to get a fit snack subscription- you get to try foods that you can’t find in stores!

The nutrition info for these. I was amazed at how low sugar they were! It was soft, chewy, and had the perfect amount of blueberry flavor without tasting artificial.

WOWBUTTER- This is a great alternative for people who are allergic to nuts. I have already tried this soynut butter because my parents buy it for my brothers who can’t have nuts. It is pretty tasty and has a great texture!

Next up: Falafel chips- These were really yummy! They are made with beans and are meant to taste like hummus. I am a hummus lover, so these were right up my alley. They are gluten free and have great seasoning to them. They reminded me of black bean chips that I have tried before. These are a great healthy alternative to regular potato chips which are filled with sodium and hydrogenated oils. You can feel good about eating these chips!

Next up: Meal replacement Oatmeal Raisin Cookie- I haven’t tried this since it is not gluten free, but it looks really yummy! I usually do not like to eat bars/ snacks as meal replacements because they do not fill me up as much as real food, nor do they provide as many nutrients. However, this would be great if you are on the go all day and want something healthier than a granola bar.

Last but not least: There was  Quinoa Crunch snack as well as a coffee sample that I did not get photos of. I brought the Quinoa Crunch snack home for my sister because I tried it and did not care for it. The texture was very strange to me, and the raisin-cocoa combo did not appeal to me. The coffee was an instant coffee mix with nutritional benefits! It was pretty good, but not as good as my beloved Starbucks Mocha flavor.
