WIAW: Curry Obsession + January Fitsnack Review

How is it Wednesday already? I feel like I just did a WIAW post yesterday. I guess time flies when you’re having fun errrr are in dental school and busy pretty much all the time. I am working on getting more recipes/ content up on my blog, but that will be taking a back seat because school has to come first (obviously). But- I have been enjoying letting you into my life to see what I eat during a day.

I started my day with coffee from target (thanks mom!) and some so delicious coconut milk creamer. I typically buy almond milk creamer, but decided to give the coconut milk creamer a try since it was on sale. Verdict- pretty good! I still am a fan on the pecan caramel Califa Farms Almond Milk creamer though.

Breakfast was oats- would you expect anything less from this girl? I almost always make them the same way- GF rolled oats, ground flax, cinnamon, sprinkled with coconut sugar and topped with fruit. Strawberries, blueberries and banana is probably my favorite fruit combo of all time for oats.

Lunch: Jumbo sized smoothie made with 3 small bananas, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, Vega Chocolate Smoothie powder, and ice. Yum!

Snack: pear! Had to reuse this pic as I didn’t take a new one. I also had a huge bowl of air-popped popcorn (no oil for the win!).

Dinner: My delicious Cauliflower Chickpea Coconut Curry Recipe! Swapped out the broccoli for mushrooms, and it was delicious!

Snack/dessert:

2 frozen bananas – I didn’t take a photo, so I decided to add a photo of the many benefits of bananas. Can’t believe some people don’t eat them for fear of too many carbs- really??

And, that capped it off for the night!

Now- on to the January Fitsnack Box Review!

Here’s a breakdown of what was in the box- as always, I shared the non-vegan items with friends (#sharingiscaring)!

Good Day Chocolates – We make ‘chocolate with benefits™’. Get your dose of Energy, Sleep, or Calming nutrients in delicious candy coated chocolate treats.
Fruit Bliss – Deliciously juicy, whole organic fruit, sun-sweetened and infused with water. Dried fruit reinvented! NonGMO, Gluten Free, Kosher, Organic and Vegan. I got dried apricots and they were delicious! Dried apricots can often be dry and taste kind of strange, but this were soft, sticky & just like dried fruit should be- yum!
Nutri Blade – NutriBlade is a Superfood Superstar! They’ve Cracked the Code by Making Wheatgrass Taste Great! Organic, Non-GMO, & Gluten Free!

Verdict on the wheatgrass- Not too impressed. I am not a huge fan of wheatgrass though, so if its your thing, then look into it!
Morning Sunshine Cookie – Looking for a cookie you can eat guilt free? Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookie is a high protein, high fiber way to get your cookie fix without the empty calories. Clean ingredients, nutritionally superior and fully functional cookies let you say “yes” to cookies anytime! Unfortunately, these cookies were not vegan (I think they were gluten free though), but it looked very healthy!

Genesis Today – Genesis Today Garcinia Cambogia Drink Mixes featuring 1,000mg of Garcinia Cambogia with 60% (HCA) for weight management support. A blend of 75 superfoods plus probiotics and enzymes to support healthy digestion and daily nutrition.

I love adding some extra probiotics and superfoods to my smoothies, so this was right up my alley.
Veggie Go – Veggie-Go’s are the easiest way to love your veggies on the go!

This was my favorite product of the January Box. The sweet potato-apple flavor was on point and the texture was great as well. It was a bit less slimy than typical “fruit leathers” which I enjoyed. And at only 20 calories a pop, how can you not enjoy it?
Miracle Tree Tea – Miracle Tree is an award-winning superfood brand which focuses on sourcing quality herbal teas with a focus on nutritional ingredients.
Green Guru – Cross Energizer – January Bonus item – The best 100% natural vegan energy supplement to take before a workout and when you need that extra boost without the jitters.

I am usually not a fan of any sort of pre-workout. My opinion on them is a bit controversial in the fitness world, but I don’t think they are needed. Shouldn’t we have ample energy from our diet & lifestyle choices?? Any who, that my two cents on that. That being said, I have yet to try this product. not sure if I will.

Now, tell me- Which meal would you most like to eat?? What is your go-to breakfast? Which fit snack product do you most want to try? What do you think of pre workout? What is your favorite flavor of coffee?
