Raspberry-Mango Protein Smoothie

I have become a huge fan of frozen mango as of late. I have been munching on it straight out of the freezer. It tastes like a creamy mango sorbet and is so refreshing on hot days/ when I am sweating because I am too cheap to turn on the air in my apartment. I wanted to use some of my Vega Berry Protein & Greens in my smoothie, so I decided to use some raspberries too! I had frozen some fresh raspberries previously because I got a ton of pints of raspberries for 97 cents each and could not finish them all, so I froze them before they started to go bad. I think that frozen fruit makes smoothies taste the best because there is no need to add ice. I often think that ice waters down the smoothie and makes it have less taste. This smoothie requires no ice, and only has 4 ingredients!

To make this blend:

1 cup frozen raspberries

1 1/3 cups frozen mango

1 scoop Vega Berry Protein & Greens

1-1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk (not sure on exact measurements)

Simply add the ingredients to the blender & blitz it up! I like my smoothies extra thick, so I only add enough almond milk to get everything to blend together.

This smoothie is HUGE! It makes a perfect breakfast because it has protein, fruit, healthy carbs, and 2 servings of greens (in Vega). I am obsessed with Vega products as of late. While their protein powders are a bit on the pricey side, I truly think it is worth it. I feel awesome eating vegan food and protein powder & highly recommend this brand. I have had Sunwarrior vegan protein powder and I definitely prefer Vega.

In my first meal of the day I get more nutrients/fiber/protein/Vitamin C than most people get in a day. Did you know that the average daily intake of fiber in the American diet is only 12 grams??? I do not know how anyone gets full without eating fiber! That is just so crazy to me. Point is- a vegan diet can supply plentiful nutrients, calcium, and protein without any animal products.
