Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Energy Bites

On my days off work, I love to experiment in the kitchen. I made these chocolate peanut butter protein bites about 2 weeks ago. These are perfect for a quick burst of energy before a workout, as dessert, a snack, or part of breakfast. Or, if you are me, for munching on while trying to decide what to make for breakfast.

These protein balls are dense little balls of chocolate-y goodness! Filled with protein, fiber, and gluten free whole grains, these balls make for a yummy afternoon pick me up.

For this recipe you will need:

1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder

1 tablespoon Chia Seeds

1/4 cup dry oats

2 tbsp. coconut flour

4 tablespoons Natural Peanut Butter (or Half PB2 & Half Peanut Butter)

2 tablespoons Unsweetened Almond Milk

2 tbsp. Honey or Agave

Directions:

Measure out & combine the oats, protein powder, and coconut flour in a bowl. Mix to combine the dry ingredients. Then add the almond milk, peanut butter, honey, and chia seeds and mix everything well with a spatula. Then roll the dough into one inch balls and put them into an air tight container. This recipe made 15 1-inch balls. Store them in the fridge or freezer. They will keep for about 1-2 weeks in the fridge and for about 1 month in the freezer.

What is  your favorite pre-workout food?? Have you ever made energy bites/ protein bites before?? How did they turn out??
